Advice for enduring the waiting game
Many candidates will be nervously awaiting their bar exam results from the February, 2015 Bar Exam now until Friday, 6:00 PM, May 15, 2015. This will be a very maddening and taxing time.
Some argue that is a much more stressful time than the months leading to the actual exam. Although that seems to be a matter of taste.
Here are some techniques to employ that will make waiting for the results more relaxed and focused.
- If you have a job, good! Immerse yourself in your work (in a healthy manner, of course). It’ll take your mind of the results.
- Not working? It’s okay! Prep yourself for a job hunt once results are available. Update your resume, network, volunteer at a legal non-profit – these are good activities to engage in.
- Maintain your social life. Odds are you were socially nonexistent while studying for the test. Go out, see your friends, and have fun!
- It may be hard, but take a day and write out the steps you’ll take if you fail. If the unfortunate happens, it will be tough, so you need to be ready with a game plan and strategy to pass the California Bar Exam.
